MARCH MEMBER OF THE MONTH – AMY SPENCER

 In News

Congrats to Amy Spencer for being named FitRev’s March Member of the Month in North Reading! The squad collectively chose Amy this month because she consistently gives it her ALL. Amy always works so hard, she’s incredibly kind and supportive of FitRev. Amy will look at any FR challenge in the eye, give it a wink and get it done with such fire and motivation. Thank you for being such an irreplaceable part of our community. We love you!

Amy’s Member of the Month Q&A below!

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Well it’s no so much about growing up, but I would love to be a mom someday.  Still hoping…

Which superpower would you like to have?

Time travel. It would be so cool to be able to go back in time and see how different era’s were and how people lived, as well as to be able to see what life will be like in 10-20 years from now.

What are you known for?

I am known for being a physical therapist and a Christmas nut!

If you could live anywhere for one year where would you live?

New Zealand. I have visited once, but would like to spend more time there.

What were you like in high school?

Very quiet and shy. I played volleyball, basketball, and softball.

Truth or dare?

Truth.

Never have I ever…

Been bungee jumping, skydiving, or ziplining (although I would like to go ziplining out of the 3).

If you could be any age for one week, what age would you be?

I wouldn’t mind being 10 again. No big worries, playing with my friends, and getting to see those special people again in my life who have passed.

If you had a warning label on you, what would it be?

Gets real cranky when tired or hungry- beware!

What’s one thing you will never do again?

Ride a roller coaster (that goes upside down). I did that once at the NY-NY hotel in Vegas- never again! Ha.

What’s the one thing about you that surprises people?

I prefer winter over summer.  In fact, as everyone is talking about spring approaching, I am going to be heading to the Arctic in Norway soon.

If I had one more hour in the day, I would…

Do anything outdoors with my husband, but especially walking, hiking, biking.

Any mantra you repeat during an especially grueling workout?

You can do this.

What’s your favorite FitRev memory?

I really enjoyed the outdoor classes- Toni had one at Lake Q. and Michelle at the RHS track. It was so fun to workout outdoors like that. But overall, there are only great memories when I think of FitRev over the years. Looking back at those first spin classes, in that small spin studio room, were classic.

Why FitRev?

I found FitRev back in 2012 when I was searching for places to spin on Google. I had been doing a lot of cycling outdoors, and completed the Mt. Washington Hill Climb, and was looking to continue biking indoors through the winter. FitRev was in the town where I worked, so it seemed like a good option. Once I took my first class, I was hooked! And my love for FitRev only blossomed from there, as I was loving the instructors and the different classes offered as FR expanded. I love the community and everything FitRev stands for!
