FitRev’s Instructor Spotlight – Lisa Zucchero!

This week we shine the spotlight on one of our newest coaches, Lisa Zucchero!  We are SO excited to welcome Lisa to FitRev.

Lisa started off as a FitRev member, but we quickly recruited her to join our incredible team. Lisa has been involved in the health and fitness industry for nineteen years. Exercise and playing competitive sports has always been a passion of hers. Lisa enjoys motivating others and helping them create healthy lifestyle habits in addition to finding ways to keep them interested, and then coming back for more.

Lisa received her BS in Exercise Science from Bridgewater State College along with the following certifications: Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Get to know Lisa more by reading a few fun facts below! 

• I grew up in Swansea Massachusetts. I lived in Chicago and Oregon and enjoy being back in New England!  I’ve been living in Reading for four years and love being North of the city!  I have two boys.. Josh is soon to be 8 and Brandon 6.  My husband is from Chicago and although I’m a Sox fan you can imagine the excitement in our house during the last world series!

• I love planning adventures or day trips with friends.  One of my favorite places to go is White water rafting in Maine.  I guess you can say I love New England!  Skiing/snow shoeing or snowmobiling in the winter, softball/volleyball in the spring and just about anything in the summer fall!

• I’ve played various sports and played softball through college and continue to play in a league.  I recently organized a women’s league last fall.  I always enjoy a little friendly competition! I love any kind of sport, yard games like Kan Jam, or board games with family and friends.

• I have a passion for cooking and baking!  I’m always finding new ways to create healthy meals and sometimes not so healthy treats like chocolate stout Irish cream cupcakes.  I’m half Irish and Portuguese!

• Speaking of stout… My favorite beer is Guinness!! I’m also obsessed with craft beer and always looking for new ones to try.

• One more fun fact..I’m also a licensed Esthetician.
