Meet Fit Revolution’s April Member of the Month, Michelle!

Michelle shares her favorite FitRev memory at the High School track, how her Mom has inspired her, and more.

When you’re not at FR or at work, where can we find you? Ideally, at a beach or on our boat! But realistically, in my car driving one of my four children somewhere!

What’s your favorite post-workout snack/meal? Avocado toast and a Mimosa, but that never really happens! An Isagenix chocolate shake is my usual go to and I do love it.

Who or what keeps you motivated?  Myself. I have always been self motivated to try my hardest and be my best at everything I do. It’s a blessing and a curse! I don’t cut myself much slack.

Any mantra you repeat during an especially grueling workout? “If Today Was Your Last Day” by Nickelback plays in my head. I apply that song to every aspect of my life.

Which superpower would you like to have?  It would be pretty cool to read people’s minds.

What one thing would you do if you knew you could not fail? I would try out for a team sport again. I love playing on a team and developing strong bonds with your teammates while trying to obtain a goal together. I’m not afraid of failing…I’m more afraid of hurting myself!

Who has inspired you in your life and why? My Mom. She was a nurse and devoted her life to helping others. I admired her so much for that. She was the kindest, most thoughtful, and loving person I have ever known. Her positive energy was so infectious, people were drawn to her and just loved her. She inspires me to be more like that every single day.

What do you want to be when you grow up? A professional golfer. I’m terrible at it, but I would love to be awesome at it.

If you had the luxury of time to re-read one book, which one would you choose? The Catcher in the Rye. But honestly my attention span is so horrible these days I could probably barely make it through Green Eggs With Ham!

If you could live anywhere for one year where would you live? Hawaii

What is your biggest pet peeve? When one of the 4 boys in my house leaves the toilet seat up. Especially in the middle of the night when I go to use the toilet and don’t notice it’s up because it’s dark and I’m half asleep and thus I basically fall in!

Have you ever had a nickname?  What is it? I have had quite a few Lol. But my first nickname and still is my family and close friend’s nickname for me is “Bot.” My brother told me when I was very young that our parents “bought” me in a store. Nice huh?! So, that became my nickname that even to this day my father, brother, and old friends still call me.

If you had a warning label on you, what would it say?  Fragile Handle With Care. Even though I’m strong on the outside, I’m very sensitive on the inside 🙂

Starbucks or Dunkin? STARBUCKS!!!!

What’s one thing you will never do again?  Go back to school. I have nightmares about tests.

If I had one more hour in the day, I would…sleep if it was winter and lay on the beach if it was summer.

What’s one thing about you someone wouldn’t know unless they really knew you? I am obsessed with lip gloss!

If you could create your very own workout what would it include? Hands down the sled! Lisa Z. had us push/pull it with the weighted vest on…I LOVED it! It’s probably one of the few exercises I can do without something hurting lol!

What’s your favorite memory at FitRev? I loved when we took field trips to the Reading HS track. They were the hardest workouts, but I never felt better when they were over! It’s also where I first met Michelle and many people I’m friendly with at FR. So it holds a special place in my heart.
