Hornet Hustle Recap
Fit Revolution’s Hornet Hustle 5K a Success!
Fit Revolution is delighted to announce that this year’s Hornet Hustle 5K was a tremendous success, drawing participants of all ages on a crisp Saturday morning in North Reading. Over 130 enthusiastic runners took to the starting line, winding through the welcoming neighborhoods of North Reading in a show of community spirit and athleticism.
Since resurrecting this beloved community event 11 years ago, Fit Revolution, owned by North Reading resident Michelle O’Connor, has contributed over $20,000 to the North Reading community. This year’s race raised funds for the North Reading Fire Department, which will use the money to purchase new fitness equipment to keep its crew healthy and fit.
O’Connor expressed her enthusiasm for the event, saying, “The Hornet Hustle embodies the mission of Fit Revolution—being physically active, working hard, and giving back to the community. This year, I was proud to hand over the role of Race Coordinator to my daughter, Maddy, who planned and executed an exceptionally well-run race.”
The success of this year’s event was bolstered by generous sponsorships from Angiolillo Management Group, Dunkin’ Donuts, Fitzgerald Physical Therapy Associates, Boston Hockey Skills, Farrelly Realty Group, Lady Di’s Barbershop, MBC Mortgage, Pennant Networks, Ryer’s Country Store, and Specialized Physical Therapy. The support from these local businesses was instrumental in making the event memorable and impactful.
Located at 55 Concord Street, North Reading, Fit Revolution offers more than 40 classes each week, including boot camp, boxing, cycling/spinning, Inferno Hot Pilates, strength training, treadmill classes (running/walking), yoga, and more. Learn more at: www.fit-rev.com
