FitRev’s Merry Fitness Challenge Recap
Merry Week of Christmas! This time of year can be so crazy. With all the holiday parties, shopping and planning, it’s hard to find the time to squeeze in a workout, or two.
Even Elf on the Shelf knows how important it is to set aside that one hour.
So, what else did the Holiday season need? A fitness challenge, obviously.
To participate each competitor paid $10 to enter and 100{92744473441628ad373e5594fb1f7300da9eccde7b9b005da5899a2b1d424281} funds collected went directly to purchasing Christmas gifts for men and women living at The Lazarus House in Lawrence.
Lazarus House Ministries helps head of households and individuals living in poverty regain their dignity and become self sufficient members of our community by offering emergency shelter, food and clothing to people in crisis and then providing transitional housing, advocacy, health services, education and work preparation to permanently break the cycle of poverty.
“If you have the power to make someone happy, do it. The world needs more of that.”

- Each team member will earn 1 point for each class he/she takes at FitRev from (12/1) through 1/3/16.
- If you are travelling, you can send me a sweaty selfie in a gym, running through the streets, etc.
Check out Gillian earning some points from Santa Monica!
And, Brittany staying focused on vacation in the Dominican. Impressive ladies
- Also, monthly members can hit the treadmills anytime the gym is open and the treadmills are not in use. Run at least a 1/2 hour or 3 miles, and send me a pic of the treadmill screen with your time and mileage.
Check out these ladies! Looks like they are in it to win it.
- Each week we will announce an opportunity to earn bonus points
And, what will the winning team get?!
At the end of the challenge each member of the winning team will get $100 in FitRev Bucks to apply toward membership fees, class cards, personal training or retail items.
What is the FitRev Merry Fitness Challenge all about?
Is it about competition? FR members are so motivated that they are taking up to 2-4 classes per day- incredible dedication! But, eventually it became evident the challenge was not about the winning $$. (Though, who wouldn’t love to spend some FR money on a couple of those new sweatshirts?) When it comes to the challenge one word came to mind; teamwork. All of us started to work together, new friendships started to grow and motivation was an all time high. To me, it’s looking like a win for everyone.
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
But, the challenge isn’t over yet! Week 3 Ranking’s were sent out AND the opportunity for triple bonus points! Could this be a game changer?!
Good luck to all the teams! Also, THANK YOU to all of FR who donated to the North Reading Food Pantry last week. You guys are amazing!
Merry Christmas, everyone! xo
