FitRev’s June Member of the Month – Diana Lee
Congratulations to Diana Lee for being named FitRev’s June Member of the Month. We couldn’t be more excited to pass the title to Diana! Diana is hard working, dedicated, and not afraid to sweat. She will be the first to say hi to someone new and always willing to help others. Enjoy the VIP parking spot, girlfriend! You earned it.
Check out a few Q&A’s with our June Member of the month below
- When you’re not at FR or at work, where can we find you?
Lots of different places…I have a hard time sitting still. If I had to pick one set location, especially during the summer, I’d say Fenway Park. One of my close friends has Sox season tickets, so I get to go to a lot of games!
- What’s your favorite post-workout snack/meal?
Anything with peanut butter. I love peanut butter.
- Who or what keeps you motivated?
Who: everyone at FitRev. Everyone works so hard, that it makes it easy to keep going!
What: my annual 26.2 mile walk for the Jimmy Fund. Walking for 9 hours isn’t easy, and I know in order to get through it I need to be in the best shape I can be. I’m aiming to make this the best year yet
- Any mantra you repeat during an especially grueling workout?
“It’s only 45 seconds” seems to be a pretty standard phrase I repeat to myself. I try to remind myself that I can do anything, even run on a 10.0 incline, for 45 seconds.
- Who has inspired you in your life and why?
Most recently I’ve been inspired by people I’ve met during Jimmy Fund events. They’re cancer survivors, or parents of kids who are cancer survivors, and they give back to Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund by raising money to help others. I find their dedication, determination, and willingness to help others very inspiring.
- What do you want to be when you grow up?
A travel photographer. If I ever hit the lottery and had the luxury of being able to quit my job, that’s what I’d do…and I’d definitely bring an FR towel on my journeys.
- If you could live anywhere for one year where would you live?
London. I loved it when I visited a few years ago. (I’d travel all over Europe while I’m living there, of course!)
- What’s your favorite memory at FitRev?
It’s a toss-up between running a mile straight for the first time in YEARS without knee pain, dead-lifting 105lbs in Muscle Blast, and becoming member of the month. I’m so happy to be a part of this family and to have met so many wonderful people—to be recognized in this way is a truly great feeling.
Congrats, Diana! Make sure to let us know if someone takes your VIP spot..
