We are SO excited to announce FitRev’s October Member of the Month, Shelly Newhouse! Shelly has been with FitRev since the doors opened. Shelly was one of the ONLY people in our night classes back in octobermemberofthemonththe old studio. The true OG of FitRev.

FitRev is so incredibly happy to send Shelly some love. Shelly tackled breast cancer two years ago and during those two years, she continued to work out with us. Shelly is not only a joy to have in class, but we can always count on her to motivate our team! Her strength and determination during her treatments was beyond what we could comprehend. Shelly took classes with her beautiful bald head. She is determined, strong and resilient. We all want her drive, her courage, and her motivation. Shelly, you are an inspiration to all of us at FitRev.

Thank you for all that you have done for FitRev and for teaching all of us how to be strong and fight the fight. You rock girlfriend! We love you!

Your mind is a powerful thing. When you fill it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change.

Check out Shelly’s Q&A’s below! We are definitely considering adding Shelly’s workout to our schedule. What do you think?!

When you’re not at FR or at work, where can we find you?  Walking my dog!

What’s your favorite post-workout snack/meal?  Chocolate Shakeology.

Who or what keeps you motivated?   My bestie – Jeni Hayes! Also a FR member.

Any mantra you repeat during an especially grueling workout?  “It’s only 2 minutes, you can do anything for 2 minutes.”  (Thanks Lisa Murphy!)

Which superpower would you like to have?  I don’t know if it’s a superpower, but I would love to be able to eat anything! Anytime! All the time!

Who has inspired you in your life and why?  My sister who is currently battling Stage 4 Breast Cancer and lives each day to the fullest with strength, faith and dignity.

If you had the luxury of time to re-read one book, which one would you choose? I would probably read new books! As many as I could

If you could live anywhere for one year where would you live? Jost Van Dyke

If you could have witnessed one event in person, what would you want to have seen? Proba
bly my parent’s wedding because they eloped.

What is your biggest pet peeve? Being late, I am always on time!

If you had a warning label on you, what would it say?  Silent but deadly

Starbucks or Dunkin? Dunkin

What’s one thing you will never do again? Get cancer.

If I had one more hour in the day, I would…sleep!

What’s one thing about you someone wouldn’t know unless they really knew you?

I have no filter sometimes when speaking.

If you could design your very own workout what would it include? I would do Stairmaster workouts on and off the Stairmaster, I love that thing! Really, I do.

What’s your favorite memory at FitRev? I don’t know if it’s my favorite, but it’s memorable.  I was so embarrassed to workout with my bald head at first, but no one really gave a shit about it and everyone was so supportive and caring at FitRev. I’ve never really met a group of women like that.  I think it’s wonderful that we can raise each other up instead of tearing each other down!

We LOVE you, Shelly.
